On 7th & 8th Feb 2017, Microsoft held its Annual MIE Experts Meet 2017 at Delhi , for which MIEE’s across India were invited. From Rayat International School, Ms. Taljit Kaur MIEE also attended the meet.

All the MIEE’s were divided into 22 groups under persona and were to create a project around the use of Microsoft technologies within the specific theme. Mrs. Taljit under the group Strategize 4 prepared the project on MAT-Microsoft Accessibility Tools for children with the special needs, who happened to be neglected in a common class room unknowingly. The project displayed how Microsoft tools like One Note, Auto-Calculation, Inking, On Screen-Keyboard, Speech Recognition, Narrator etc. can be used to enhance classroom teaching and enable such children to be on the same platform as the others. On day one the MIEE’s were trained and guided about Microsoft tools like One Note, Sway, Mine Craft Microsoft community and TPACK. On the second day was a display of the project where judges and eminent guests had a gallery view of the same. Finally there was a panel discussion on the ways to enhance teaching learning through use of technology followed by declaration of results and certificate distribution.Overall it was a great learning and sharing experience.
